Testing Plan for Donor Sample



           
GOAL:
Establish scent viability

TESTING PROTOCOL:
Sample condition: test at room temp; refrigerate to preserve

HYDRATION PROTOCOL:

PROBLEM:  how to handle difference in age of sample
SOLUTION: refreeze when not testing

BASELINE:  3 successive trials of 90%+ conducted on 2 subsequent sets

TESTING:
Identify on testing form by test (IA, IVB, etc)
  1. Introduce saliva sample
    1. by hand
    2. scent wheel alone
    3. scent wheel full w/gauze variables
    4. scent wheel full w/donor non-event saliva sample
  2. Introduce sweat sample
    1. by hand
    2. scent wheel alone
    3. scent wheel full w/gauze variables
    4. scent wheel full w/donor non-event sweat sample
  3. Introduce clothing sample
    1. by hand
    2. scent wheel alone
    3. scent wheel full w/fabric variables
    4. scent wheel full w/donor non-event clothing sample
  4. Test all three sample sources on wheel together
    1. saliva/sweat
    2. saliva/clothing
    3. sweat/clothing
    4. saliva/sweat/clothing
  5. Repeat using HP
  6. Repeat using HC
  7. SUPPLEMENTAL CLOTHING TESTING 
    1. Hydration tests
      1. testing preserved liquid created from sample
        1. using sample piece
        2. using hydration protocol above
      2. HP/HC
        1. preserve liquid created from HP
          1. create, preserve, test HC on weekly basis 
          2. scent wheel w/variables
    2. Non-preserved tests (ala Peggy Law)
      1. testing for validity
      2. testing for age of sample
        1. weekly: on going until sample depleted
